Unable to find the the character for the "L with a stroke" on my keyboard, I set out to Wroclaw which should probably be spelled Vrotswav in English for people like myself (whom, until recently, had little knowledge of the Polish alphabet differences). A hidden gem of Eastern Europe, Wroclaw is among the four big cities in Poland with around 1 million citizens in the area. Wroclaw is a transportation center within Poland, and like most of the country it is going under economic revitalization. It's a city with a beautifully restored center, churches, rivers, bridges, islands and charactered, gritty neighborhoods that have their own mystique.
